Located 30 miles (50 km) from London at the lowest bridging point (river crossing) of the River Medway. Rochester lies within a region known as the London Basin. It's a town as well a historic city in the unitary jurisdiction of Medway in Kent, England. Rochester is situated on the A2, it crosses the Medway at Rochester Bridge.
