London Kings Cross

The London Kings Cross station takes its name from the King's Cross area of London, named after a memorial of King George IV that was pull down in 1845. The station was built in 1851–1852, and it's the terminus of the East Coast main line and London hub of the Great Northern Railway. The station was constructed on the site of smallpox and fever hospital, replacing a temporary terminus at Maiden Lane, opened on the 7 August 1850.

The King's Cross railway station is an important, London railway terminus, opened in 1852 and situated on the northern edge of central London. It provides high-speed inter-city services to the North East, Yorkshire, and Scotland and it is the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line.

The London Kings Cross station is also a terminus for Great Northern and provides commuter services to Norfolk, Bedfordshire, North London, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire. Directly to the west of Pancras Road is St Pancras International, which is the London terminus of Eurostar services to continental Europe.
